Hidden Falls occupies approximately 3,000 acres of land (about 5 square miles) in Marble Falls, Texas. This park claims to be the largest 4x4 park in all of Texas, and not without reason. The trails in this Texas off-road park are home to almost all off-highway vehicles (OHVs), such as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility terrain vehicles (UTVs), dirt bikes, and full-sized 4x4s. 

The establishment has strict rules on checking in and requires everyone in a vehicle to get out and sign their waivers before entering the park. Also, drivers are advised to hang their placards from their rearview mirrors or a visible part of the windshield so the park rangers do not stop them.

Their friendly staff and membership programs make it easy to be part of their community. If you are looking for a long-term off-roading engagement where you can socialize with other enthusiasts and build your skills, this might be the place for you. 

Trees Ranch Off-Road Park

This 4x4 park in Texas is still an exotic game ranch but is the fantasy of every outdoor enthusiast. It occupies 5,500 acres of land in the Texas Hill Country, and the makers of its trails are actual off-roaders. The park offers challenges for visitors with varying skill sets, from challenging buggy obstacles for the more extreme clientele to mild creek beds for the shy beginners. 

The management insists on preparedness when going for a ride. The park urges all its clients to come with appropriate tools in case their vehicles get damaged and need repair. They also advise their customers to come prepared to fix their cars to avoid distracting other off-roaders' fun. For safety reasons, the park allocates at least two vehicles to each trail, and all visitors should carry a CB radio they can use to communicate with the park during their visit.

It is essential to observe all park guidelines to ensure a safe and fun time at the park.

Katemcy Rocks

Located in Mason, Texas, Katemcy Rocks, pronounced as “Ka-tim-see,” boasts over 800 acres of granite rock. Trail difficulty ranges between easy and extreme, the latter posing a significant challenge to even the most experienced off-roaders. This park would be an excellent choice for all adventure-seekers who wish to test their skill level.

The trails are open only on specific dates, so you need to check their calendar for when they are available. The park offers both open and closed events depending on your group's size and the length of your stay. All in all, Katemcy Rocks has earned one of the top spots.

Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area

This gem is located in Gilmer, Texas, and was founded in 2000. It provides off-roaders with over 1,850 acres of excitement and discovery. The property offers single-track trails that span over 27 miles for dirt bikes and even longer ones for UTVs and OHVs. There is a 16-mile Adventure Trail for dirt bikes and ATVs for visitors who prefer a more relaxed pace.

In case you wanted to spend both day and night in nature, the park has both primitive campsites and an Electric Camp. The primitive campsites provide grounds where guests can pitch their tents and sleep under the stars, while the Electric Camp has 30 amp hookups for recreational vehicles. 

The Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area offers excellent services and seems to be the complete package.

Wolf Caves Off-Road Park

Another Mason, Texas, native, this park spans 430 acres of granite outcropping. Their extensive rocky terrain and mild foliage are every off-roader's dream. Though these Texas off-road parks' trails may be unsuitable for stockier Jeeps, the more modified Jeeps may survive the large rocks spread over the tracks. This park promises to be an adrenaline-charged event as it pushes most drivers to their limits. Are you ready for the challenge?

The park does not allow ATVs, UTVs, SxSs, and motorcycles, so grab your Jeep and try it out.

General Sam's ATV and Off-Road Park

Located in Huntsville, Texas, General Sam's Off-Road Park covers 706 acres of piney woods, spring-fed creeks, and over 60 miles of trails for OHVs. Its obstacle courses feature sandpits, mudholes, and rock climbing hills. The park offers some of the best elevation changes in the area for you to enjoy the entire experience of driving any OHV you please.

If your family insists on tagging along, the park has sufficient amenities to accommodate them. They have traditional campgrounds for tent and RV camping and fully equipped cabins. If you are in Texas, there is no reason to spend the weekend bored when you can visit General Sam's.

Matagorda Beach

Just when we thought this list couldn't get any better, we stumbled upon Matagorda Beach. Driving your OHV on the beach is the definition of amazing. Matagorda Beach is about 58 miles, with 23 of those miles designated for driving. 

Contrary to previous items in the list that provided rocky landscapes that tested your vehicle's resilience, the beach evaluates your alertness and adaptability.
